French HIV/AIDS groups took centre stage in the G8 International Media Centre as Miss Promises paraded through the centre to highlight the lack of progress by the G8 to deliver on HIV/AIDS pledges. The group, AIDES France, presented Miss Promises, dressed in bright pink to the press, to explain the groups take on the G8's lack of resources to meet with HIV/AIDS pledges. Miss Promises was mobbed by the press, eager to get some colour into their reporting while the G8 was still meeting and news was lacking. According to the NGO, the action was profiled in the media across the world, including the media outlet France24, and outlets in Russia and China.
Miss Promise will continue to voice her concerns on HIV/AIDS and is likely to travel to Cannes in November for the G20 Summit.
